When to Stop?
A series of illustrations I submitted to the D&AD Young Blood 2017 Competition
Grief Is The Thing With Feathers: Book Cover Design
Grief is the thing with Feathers by Max Porter is a poignant yet whimsically paced narrative of a family that's stricken with grief by the loss of its mother. Grief comes in the form of a crow. It was my favourite read of 2018 and so I decided to design a book cover for it.
Castles Made of Sand: Vinyl Cover Design
Secret 7” takes 7 tracks from 7 of the best-known musicians around and presses each one 100 times to 7” vinyl. An open call is then made to create artwork for the 7 tracks. I chose the song "Castles Made of Sand" by Jimi Hendrix
Shiro Oni Residence Group Show 2019 / シロオニ展覧会 ２０１９年
Shiro Oni Artist-in-Residence Group Show 2019 I was one of 8 artists in Shiro Oni's 2019 July art residency intake, situated in a small town in Gunma. It was a culturally immersive experience punctuated by wholesome interactions with locals, a summer festival, hot spring trips and a group exhibition at the end.
你是谁？Who Are You?: Solo Exhibition
Who Are You? Is the summation of my 2-month-stay in Zhujiajiao, Shanghai, China. It is a self reflective visual diary encircling my ruminations as an ethnically Chinese foreigner in China. All works as well as promotional material were illustrated and designed by me.
Book Cover: Darker Than Fiction
Book Cover and Book Design for the unpublished book, Darker Than Fiction. A collection of gritty tales taking place in the underbelly of London.
Artwork for Industria 2019
I was asked to create an artwork for Industria (Индустрия), a pioneering exhibition for the city of Izhevsk, Russia, detailing its industrial roots.
In solidarity with the Amazon Forest. This work was done with the belief that all our collective efforts can amount to something in the ways of a better world.
Made of China
Made of China (2014) Exhibited: Mighty Jaxx’s Xmas Cookie Party Venue: Front Row, The Raffles Hotel Arcade I was one of the selected artists asked to take part in this custom toy event, where each artist was to customize a Jason Freeny gingerbread man. Seeing as how this was a western festive event taking place in Singapore, a westernized asian country, I decided to comment on globalized nations with oriental roots.
I was commissioned by the Independent for an illustration to support Will Self's article regarding the nature of the UK's mental health facilities and its correlation with the stigma surrounding mental health.
